Head to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery now through June 25 to see the exhibit by Shantell Martin: Someday We Can.  Using her simple trademark line work—black ink on white surfaces—Shantell Martin transforms everything from walls to found objects, ceramics, toys, sneakers, and even the faces and bodies of participants and passersby into a signature visual narrative. This is the first time an artist working with the Albright-Knox’s Public Art Initiative will install work simultaneously at the museum and in the community.  To learn more, go to AlbrightKnox.org.
Check out the 32 Annual Storrs All High Photo Show at the Kenan Center in Lockport, featuring the work of high school students from across Western New York. The show continues through April 23.  Gallery hours: Monday-Friday, noon to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.
Enjoy Family Night: Paul Revere's Ride at 5:30p Tuesday (April 18) at the History Center, 215 Niagara Street in Lockport.  Family Nights at the Niagara History Center are a series of FREE monthly programs and activities specifically designed for families with children ages 5 and up. All ages will share a good time learning about history that happened right here in Niagara County through a brief presentation, hands-on activities, games, crafts, role-playing and other fun experiences related to the evening's theme.  A pizza and beverage supper will be available for a nominal donation from 5:30pm-6pm. This FREE program is open to all Western New York families, regardless of residence, but pre-registration is required. Call the History Center at 716-434-7433 for reservations.
Don’t miss the Spring Flower Exhibit at the Botanical Gardens, going on now through April 23.  Celebrate the sensations of spring inside the Dome with over 22,000 colorful bulbs on display.  Fragrant shrubs and flowers of every kind will be set against the hues of tulips and daffodils highlighting the majestic conservatory at one of the most beautiful times of the year.  Included with the exhibit is the 4-H Farm that will host baby bunnies, chicks, pigs, ducks and so much more! The 4-H Farm will be open from 10am-4pm daily. The Easter Bunny will visit the Botanical Gardens today (April 15) from 10am-5pm.  To learn more, go to www.buffalogardens.com
